Our client is seeking a Service Desk Operative on an initial 6 month contract with the possibility of an extension.

Working Hours:

37 Hours per week

Monday - Friday

Pay Rate:

£12.13 p/h

Job Purpose:

To provide a first-line support to end users who face problems with computer software and hardware. The operator is the first point of contact for all IT and communication issues within an organisation or between an organisation and customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

A help desk operator's main responsibility is to provide a first-line support to end users who face problems with computer software and hardware. The operator is the first point of contact for all IT and communication issues within an organisation or between an organisation and customers. The operator determines the source of the problem, troubleshoots and provides appropriate solutions to problems. The role requires the person to serve as a liaison between customers and the technical department.

Skill and Experience:

  • Previous service/help desk experience essential
  • Possibly in FM, M&E or service department office
  • Possibly would work for ex tradesmen/women (electrical or mechanical)
  • Good written and listening skills
  • Good Communication skills - confident speaker on the phone
  • Must be organised
  • PC Skills must include MS Excel, word and Outlook
