Project Manager - OPHT

The role requires qualified Occupational Therapist, who has experience of care management record systems and community equipment ordering systems. The post holder must be able to review service user records and apply clinical reasoning to the record review. Further details about the project are included in the project brief.


To prioritise (based on clinical risk) and re-instate cancelled PPMs, excellent working knowledge of community equipment and TCES Connections is needed.

The London Consortium will temporarily employ the equivalent of 1FTE Occupational Therapist(s) for an initial period of 6 months, to re-instate the most urgent PPMs (LOLER) on behalf on the LC members and tidy the data on TCES. The postholder(s) will be employed through the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC) as they are the employing host borough for the Consortium Team.

The project will cover all of the 21 London Boroughs who are members of the Consortium.

Phase 1: Close all deceased service users' TCES files and re-instate all PPMs where no additional info is needed. This could potentially be done without needing access to a local Electronic Care Record (ECR). Review after 3 weeks.

Phase 2: Obtain access to local ECR systems to allow more complex investigation of the service users' ECR and TCES files and update information on TCES as needed. Review after 3 weeks.

Phase 3: Support LC members to set up a local system to reduce backlog and monitor PPMs.

Possible phase 4: Ongoing data support during the mobilisation, in preparation of the new contract.

The aim is to have 25% of the LOLER back log cleared in 6 months (by 01/03/2020).

After 6 months, it can be reviewed whether a project extension would be needed or wanted.
