We have an exciting opportunity for a Programme Manager to join our busy offices based in Derbyshire on a temporary basis for 1 month with the possibility of an extension. We are looking for someone to start ASAP, working 37 hours per week, at £14.47 p/h PAYE.

As the Programme Manager, your main duties will include:

  • Coordinate and participate in relevant internal and external working groups and provide programme advice, expertise and support where requested
  • Design, facilitate, and undertake consultations, events and surveys; collate and make available to the relevant stakeholders in a suitable format
  • Devise and participate in setting up, using and monitoring quality assurance systems to measure performance against agreed standards and provide relevant and timely advice and guidance on own portfolio of projects
  • Work with governance groups, members of the team and other council staff to investigate the causes of any variance from agreed performance and quality standards and proactively contribute to the implementation of solutions
  • Contribute to risk and issues tracking mechanism and its proactive resolution and escalation processes in relation to the portfolio of programmes
  • Assist with budget monitoring, producing regular reports on the targeting of resources to ensure value for money
  • Contribute to aspects of Research and Development activities, including collating information, analysing and reporting findings

To be successful for this Programme Manager post you will need to have:

  • Project Management

  • Management of staff
  • Budget management
  • Production and presentation of reports
  • Prince 2 or other project management qualification
  • Excellent project planning and management skills and knowledge
