We have an exciting opportunity for a Functional Skills Tutor to join our clients offices based in Lincoln on a temporary contract basis for 4 months with the possibility of an extension.

As the Functional Skills Tutor, your main duties will include:

  • Work and build a positive rapport with apprentices
  • Work with City & Guilds to develop and maintain Ofsted educational standards
  • Regularly assess, maintain and review the quality and standards of the in-house training centre, ensuring it meets Ofsted framework requirements
  • Facilitate and support the Ofsted nominee during Ofsted inspections
  • To establish clear written, robust audit trail processes to ensure transparency of service and easily obtained reports for unexpected external audit inspection
  • Fully invest and participate in the end to end recruitment of Apprentice posts
  • Provide written evidence of regular reflection on performance and implement improvements based on best practice guidance, peer reviews, new legislation, provider performance review, audit and inspections
  • Support apprenticeship recruitment and induction

To be successful for this Functional Skills Tutor post you will need to have:

  • Management experience in a Business Administration field
  • D32/33, A1 or equivalent
  • V1 or Level 4 in Understanding the Principles and Practices of Internally Yes Assuring the Quality of Assessment and Level 4 Internally Assure the Quality of Assessment
  • PTLLS or Level 3 Award in Education and Training
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Have demonstrated an interest in the education of young adults
  • ICT skills - the ability to use Microsoft Office and associated packages and to advise on appropriate ICT across curriculum areas
  • Knowledge of Apprenticeship quality assurance requirements
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, verbally and in writing, sufficient to write and present reports to a range of stakeholders

15 hours per week

Monday - Friday

Pay Rate-

£11.90 p/h
